Are cars insured when being transported to France?
It doesn’t matter what type vehicle is being transported to France, be it a Rolls Royce or a fiat 500 you can be assured of a safe and reliable way of having it delivered to France. You can also feel confident in the knowledge that your vehicle will be insured up to the value of £150,000 whilst in the drivers care. Can you collect my car if I’m not in the UK?
If you are unable to be present whilst your car is being collected on a transporter then this will not be a problem providing the driver can gain access to the vehicle by a key and we receive a letter of authorisation from you, this will allow us to legally transport your vehicle overseas. We will need a copy of the log book (V5) and a copy of your photo page of the passport as proof of ownership and identity. The whole shipment process is very easy providing your vehicle can be driven and has brakes.
All drivers have been checked by the DVLA to make sure that their driving licenses are clean from any points or convictions thus allowing you to gain more confidence knowing that your car is in safe, professional hands.
What paperwork do I need to ship my car to France?
When transporting a car to Europe from the UK, we would require copies of the following documentation:
- V5C (or title document) for the vehicle
- Copy of photo page of passport
