How do you load cars in a container?

Cars are professionally packed with wheels blocked, braced and secured to the container floor or ramp to ensure safety in transit.  Our network of warehouses in UK specialise in  loading and unloading and handle running and non running cars daily. 

Our containers are unpacked off the quay at our  bonded warehouses specially equipped to unload vehicle/ car containers.  Vehicles can be delivered to any of our network of warehouses in UK; alternatively we offer vehicle collections across the UK .

Container shipping is not available for all vehicles, the maximum door height for a 20″ and 40″ HQ are 2.27m and 2.58m respectively, which quite often means that motor homes, expedition trucks and vehicles with large roof loads may not fit in standard containers.

Oversized vehicles do have the options of flat rack (LOLO) however generally this works out to be more costly than RORO and does not provide the same security as being sealed inside a container.

Standard containers come in two sizes; 20′ and 40′ in length. While a 20′ container is suitable for shipment of one car or 4×4, a 40′ container provides sufficient space for two average sized vehicles so may be more cost effective if you have more than one vehicle to ship.

From our specialist UK vehicle loading warehouses located in Hull, Felixstowe, Chatham and Southampton we are able to offer a range of packing services.  Vehicle collections are available across the UK back to our loading warehouse.  Further we can position containers with clients for loading at shippers own house or preferred accessible location or nominated warehouse in the UK.
